Cindy Melendez joined the firm in 2012. Cindy is currently a firm Senior Paralegal/Legal Assistant and the intern supervisor. However, she developed a passion for the legal field, where she exceled due to her organizational skills and being detail oriented. Cindy excels at consular processing, political asylum cases and assisting with immigration court cases. Alongside her casework, she also mentors our interns to be detail oriented and enjoys providing guidance to the firm’s administrative support staff. Cindy’s combined legal support and administrative strengths makes her the nerve center of the office. She works hard to developing strong working relationships with the firm’s clients.
Having come to the United States as a driven young adult immigrant, Cindy wasted no time in getting a U.S. college degree and mastering the English language. Cindy experienced the immigration process first hand. She is personally motivated to help fellow immigrants in the local community and abroad. In her spare time, Cindy loves spending time with her family.
Cindy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Network and Security from the University of Maryland.
